In an elaborate process, the DINAcon Awards jury selected the 15 shortlisted entries from over 40 entries. These are:

Category 1: Best Open Source Project

Category 2: Best Newcomer Project

Category 3: Best Practice Project

Category 4: Best Open Data Project

Category 5: Best Open Education Project

“The selection obviously was a challange for the jury,” says Torben Stephan, who organized the DINAcon Awards this year and was present at the jury meeting. In addition to the finalists, many other very impressive applications were received. This has led to long and very detailed discussions, according to Stephan. In the end, however, decisions had to be made. He very much hopes that the participants who did not make it to the final round this year will reapply in 2020.

The final winners in the five categories of the DINAcon Awards 2019 will be announced during DINAcon 2019 on 18 October at the Welle7 Workspace in Berne. The Digital Sustainability Conference programme is already online. Tickets are available at Tipo.ch
